Directly next to the intercity train station of Friedrichstraße, in Berlin’s pulsating city centre, this 9-storey 5-star hotel building was erected. It includes 221 rooms, a designer bar within the lobby, an indoor heated pool, a gym and an event area with approximately 900 m². The light-suffused atrium with its imposing glass façade provides the guest-rooms with acoustic protection against traffic noise. The expressively folded facade in the upper floors above the atrium reflects the atmosphere of the adjoining Admiralspalast theatre.

GFB delivered the project planning works, from the first layout to the final design for obtaining the building permit. Moreover, Mr. Manuel Alvarez served as artistic senior construction manager for the architectural conversion of the draught.
