A bank building from the 1950s, centrally situated in front of the Academy of the Arts and near the Zoo Train-Station, is transformed into a hotel building. It is aimed to achieve a new identity for the building, while keeping the costs for the renovation and conversion works within a reasonable level, in as much as possible. 81 thematically designed hotel rooms, a restaurant with terraces and other space offerings will be created. The natural stone facade, which stems from the 1980’s will be preserved and accentuated by new design and lighting elements. The attic will be completely renewed, a new stairwell and an additional elevator will be incorporated.
